It's an Advertisement for his other products.

I bought it yesterday and returned it almost immediately. I got an uneasy feeling that this was just an advertisement after reading the first two chapters. After that, I scanned it and noted that every chapter contains meager information with a link to other products that give you the complete information. The argument is made that it is a short eBook (of which only 50% is content with the other 50% being introduction, appendix and index - approximately) and that the format is not suitable for more information. I don't accept that as an eBook is as fruitful or devoid of content as you make it. The useful and complete content is in the other books, seminars, courses and workshops that the author sells. He provides links for those products throughout the eBook. This is highly disappointing to me because my first exposure to Dr. Tharp was through his excellent book "Trade Your Way To Financial Freedom". That book is a gem. This eBook is an advertisement. Why would I pay to have someone else's advertisement for their products? To be fair, there are some high level ideas in there that if you haven't been exposed to them, you might find useful. But in order to explore the ideas you will need to buy Dr Tharp's other products. This eBook should be free. It's just marketing material.

A Good Starting Point for New Traders or those seeking to improve.

This book is a great starting point for anyone that wants to get involved with trading. The author outlines eight things that any trader must do to survive the trials of the day to day markets. There is a brief chapter for each item. There are links to free youtube videos that expand on some of the item as well as links to the authors website that provides additional information and even a link for a free weekly newsletter. There are references to some of the authors other books and materials but those are by no means the center of the book. The book as stated in the overview on Amazon is an overview of eigth edges you must have to succeed in the market and it delivers on that. It's a great starting point for those thinking to get into the markets but don't know where to start or what is involved.
