As a professional screenwriter paid to adapt two novels in the past year, I would have saved copious hours if only I'd first read this book. I give it my highest recommendation wishing someone had alerted me ealier to its resourcefullness and wise insight.

one of the best books to buy on screenwriting

a very good book that goes in detail and lists challenges that you may face when adapting a book, short story, plays, to the screen. shows examples and gives exercises from films to show how to find the best plot line for a script. this book is good for the beginner and the seasoned writer. there is so much in this book to learn in this book it is well worth buying.
